Please bring along up to 5 Enprints (max 7x5", 18x13cm unmounted prints) on any subject for this ice breaker competition.

Camera Skills

Using ISO to help with low light and faster shutter speeds.

Please bring your Camera Gear and Manual.

What is ISO, Auto ISO, adjusting exposure. What is ISO intolerance.

We take multiple copies of the same image with different ISO
settings to determine when grain becomes visible.

Use Lightroom and Photoshop to remove grain.

Anything larger we use a range of Photoshop Tools to remove people and other objects from an image. Demo then Practice

Practical

Macro / Close Focusing

Photographing something small

Please bring your Camera Gear, Lighting and Tripod

Definition Of Macro :
  • Macro photos are images in which the magnification of the subject is life size ( 1 : 1 ) ie, the subject size to match the camera's sensor size.
  • A telephoto lens marked 'macro' often can not achieve the 1-1 ratio is simply just close focusing.
  • Close focusing also means using the lens at its closest focusing distance as marked on the lens barrel
  • Without a macro lens, try using a close up lens or extension tubes
