Where We Meet

We meet on Monday evenings from 7.30-9.30pm from September to May (except bank holidays) at the West Coker Commemoration Hall, High Street West Coker, Yeovil BA22 9AL

About Us

  • Our members vary from those who are new to photography through to those who are more experienced.
  • It doesn't matter what your level of experience is we are sure that you will find our varied programme of events will help you to improve your photographic skills, depending on what your aspirations are.
  • This may be to take better pictures of your family, improve your holiday snaps, work towards gaining a qualification or earning a living as a professional photographer.
  • Our aim is to offer encouragement and practical guidance through a varied programme of events throughout the year and to promote a wide appreciation of all forms of photography.
  • We encourage you to participate in all events so that you can gain the most benefits of being a member of the Club.
  • It doesn't matter whether you have a simple point and shoot camera, a high end DSLR or a camera phone or what subjects you like to photograph.
  • Whatever you shoot we are happy for you to share your pictures with us

What we do

We hold weekly meetings and our new programme starts in September although we are happy to welcome new members throughout the year.


The Club aims to provide a varied programme of events and evenings generally consist of :


  • Guest speakers
  • Practical sessions
  • Post-processing sessions
  • Travelling exhibitions
  • Talks and demonstrations
  • Battles, Competitions and Challenges
  • Photo trips (although these are usually organised by individual members)

We also organise an annual exhibition to showcase our members work and everyone is encouraged to take part.
